Meet Dr. Sakellariou
Dr. Anastasios (Tasos) Sakellariou is a clinical assistant professor of anesthesiology, critical care, and pain medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. He received his medical and dental degrees from the University of Athens, Greece. He then completed his General Surgery internship and Anesthesiology residency at Boston Medical Center, the busiest Level I trauma Center in the Northeast. During his residency, he was trained by leaders in the field of pediatric anesthesia at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Sakellariou also completed his fellowship in interventional pain management at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. Being one of the few anesthesiologists in Boston having Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training and a doctorate in Dental Medicine, he has the advantage of better understanding the unique considerations of the dental and oral surgery patient who is treated in the dental office.
